The District of Columbia does not have a consumer-friendly location to report concerns about infectious diseases in hospitals or other health care facilities. But here is a link for health care professionals to make a complaint, and consumers can use this for now.

The Joint Commission
Other Hospital Complaints
The Joint Commission (formerly the “Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations”) is a private entity which accredits hospitals. It is a joint project of various medical and hospital private associations. The Joint Commission will investigate a quality of care complaint but won’t tell you the results. Here is its information:
