I am a native of Naga City, Philippines, where I worked in construction management and business before becoming licensed as a Civil and Geodetic Engineer in 1995. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Nueva Caceres, which conferred on me the 1996 Outstanding Alumni Awardee for topping the Philippine board exams for geodetic engineers and 1996 Leadership Awardee for exemplary leadership as President of the University Student Council. I then completed a Juris Doctor degree from the same university in 2002. In 2003, I came to the United States, first just to help my sister with her four children, but then I found I loved the American way of life and decided to stay. I pursued further studies at Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies for my Business Administration Certificate.
I spent some years working at Mr. Malone’s previous law firm for him and other attorneys. Then I became a mother and devoted full time to raising my son Jerald Jude. I also dabbled in the real estate industry as rental properties manager with administrative work and bookkeeping on the side. In 2016, I was re-hired by Mr. Malone as his Administrative Office Manager. I’m a certified office manager, accounting paraprofessional and bookkeeper and a member of American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers and National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers.
Always fond of my roots in the Philippines, I return to my hometown regularly for charity work benefiting local orphanages and elderly care facilities. In my job, I try to blend Confucian work ethics and Roman Catholic virtues of compassion and empathy.
