Requesting an Accident Report in Washington D.C.
When an officer arrives on the scene of an accident, they will write an accident report (PD-10) and give it a unique six-digit identifying number (CCN). Write this number down because it will be useful when requesting a copy of the accident report.
If you don’t have this number, you can call the station of the police district that responded to your incident to obtain the CCN. Copies of this accident report can be obtained for a $3 fee per PD-10 and you can request them either in-person, or via mail.
Requesting Accident Report in Person or by Mail
